We make the reservation process simple at The Retreat at Denton. To reserve your cottage, fill out the online application found under the “Apply” tab on the main menu above.

After you’ve completed the application and selected the cottage you desire, we ask that you put down a deposit on your reservation. Then, when you’ve moved in, that initial deposit becomes your security deposit for the apartment. It’s as simple as that.

We offer 12-month housing contracts that begin in August and end in late July. The timeline of our housing contracts is based on the UNT academic calendar and provides a more convenient way for students to rent based on their school schedules. We are happy to offer additional information about these details.

The Retreat at Denton offers 13 configurations of floor plans with two, three, or four bedrooms. Each bedroom is individually keyed and rented separately with an individual housing contract.

A cottage may have between 2.5 and 4.5 bathrooms depending on the floor plan. Every resident has a private bedroom and bathroom.

Installment payments are due on the first (1st) of the month. Payments received after 9 a.m. on the fourth (4th) of the month are considered late. Residents may pay their installment payments by check at the clubhouse or electronically using the secure-payment feature on the online resident portal.

To provide residents of our UNT off campus housing with the best college experience, we offer a variety of amenities at no additional cost. High-speed Internet, cable, pest control, and all utilities except water and electric are also included in the monthly installment payments.

The Retreat at Denton offers the amenities you expect, plus some you don’t. Our indoor amenities include a clubhouse, extensive fitness center, computer lab, private study rooms, and a coffee bar. Outdoors, we have a resort-style pool, a sand volleyball court, expansive green space, and grilling areas. Other notable amenities include a PGA-quality golf simulator, bag toss court, covered terrace, as well as hammocks and cabanas.

It’s a 15-minute walk from The Retreat at Denton to the UNT campus. Downtown Denton, which features many restaurants, is also within walking or biking range. There are also grocery stores and retail areas nearby.

Each apartment is equipped with all the necessary appliances for your comfort. Stainless-steel kitchen appliances include a refrigerator with ice-maker, dishwasher, range and oven, and microwave. We also stand out from other off campus housing near UNT because we provide in-unit washers and dryers.

Because we want you to have the perfect apartment for your situation, The Retreat at Denton offers furnished apartments. Furnished units have custom furniture packages that include dining tables, couches, and TVs in the common areas, as well as beds, mattress sets, nightstands, desks, and dressers in the bedrooms.

In their ideal off campus apartments, UNT students want outdoor areas where they can relax, study, and socialize. Our cottages provide outdoor spaces in the form of either outdoor patios or decks, depending on the floor plans. Some of our cottages also feature front porches.

Grilling is allowed on the various outdoor areas at The Retreat at Denton. The patios, decks, and porches are spacious and designed to accommodate items such as grills. We also provide grilling stations near the pool.

At The Retreat at Denton, we provide free parking for residents. Spaces are located on-site and not reserved.

Yes. Each apartment is wired for high-speed Internet and cable. These services are included in your monthly installment payments.

Our apartments offer more square footage than the average student housing in Denton, TX. The exact size of units varies based on the floor plans. Our three- and four-bedroom floor plans are each available in multiple layouts with varying amounts of square footage. By offering different floor plans, we make it easier for students to find their perfect living spaces.
